jul26 - Eiffel Tour
WE started the cruise along the Seine just as the lights were being turned on. As we sailed, the sky darkened and the wind whipped the storm clouds across the sky. All of a sudden, we were engulfed in a "midwestern style" thunder storm. Thunder, lightning! Lightning, thunder! And the rain beat down on everyone. People flooded into the streets of Paris to dance and celebrate the rain. It had been hot (40C) for several days, so the rain was a welcome relief. We danced and reveled on the top deck of the barge.
