| Encore Singers, PSG's "ambassadors", present numerous performances each year in the Portland/Vancouver greater metro area, as well as in the Northwest region, for community groups, music and choral education organizations, and as part of PSG's regular concert season. The 30 Encore members are selected from the Premier Choir and have their own weekly rehearsals. Encore performs for more intimate gatherings such as weddings and parties, as well as for prestigious community performances such as Trinity Cathedral's annual New Year's Eve Gala Concert, the Camas Great Artist Series, and the Portland Art Museum's Family Sunday. Recognized for its artistry, Encore has also been selected by taped audition to perform for two NW Division Conventions of the American Choral Directors Association. The Encore Singers travel with PSG's Premier Choir on international tours and will participate in PSG's Paris and York tour in July of this year. Presenting songs from a wide range of choral repertoire from classical composers to American folk songs to world music, Encore offers something for everyone! |
